Plantation

Every tree is a promise to the future.

In a world where concrete grows faster than greenery, trees are more than nature’s decoration — they are our lifeline. In Jammu & Kashmir, rising pollution, deforestation, and shrinking green spaces threaten both the environment and community health. That’s why Live For Others – Being Helpful Foundation launched the Go Green Initiative — to bring back the shade, the fresh air, and the balance that only nature can provide.

Planting a tree is simple, but creating a thriving green space takes commitment. Our drives are about more than placing saplings in the soil — we ensure: Right Tree, Right Place – Choosing species suited to the local climate and soil. Community Involvement – Involving residents, students, and volunteers in planting and maintenance. Follow-Up Care – Watering, protection from grazing animals, and seasonal check-ups to ensure survival.

Greener Steps, Brighter Tomorrows

Planting today is more than just putting a seed into the soil — it is a promise of cleaner air, greener surroundings, and a healthier tomorrow. Our Go Green Initiative is a step towards creating a sustainable future where every tree planted today becomes a shield of life for generations ahead. By nurturing nature, we are not only combating climate change but also giving back to the Earth the care it deserves. Together, let’s grow a legacy of hope, balance, and fresh breath for tomorrow.

From Riverbanks to Schoolyards

Our plantations have taken root in schools, parks, roadside areas, and especially along riverbanks as part of our Save River Tawi Campaign. In these spaces, trees do more than provide shade.

Impact in Numbers

So far, we’ve planted 3,320+ saplings across Jammu & Kashmir. Each tree planted is a small climate victory, absorbing carbon dioxide, reducing heat, and making our communities healthier.

Why It Matters

A single tree can absorb up to 22 kg of CO₂ each year, cool the surrounding air by up to 8°C, and act as a natural filter for pollutants. growing up around greenery improves concentration.

Every tree we plant is a gift — not just for us, but for generations we may never meet. Together, we can turn barren patches into living, breathing spaces of hope. Let’s keep planting, because tomorrow’s air depends on today’s roots.
