Cleaning

Because clean streets mean healthy lives.

A clean community is more than just a pretty sight — it’s a foundation for health, dignity, and pride. Yet in many parts of Jammu & Kashmir, garbage piles up in public spaces, drains get blocked, and open dumping harms both people and the environment. At Live For Others – Being Helpful Foundation, we believe that cleaning is not someone else’s job — it’s everyone’s responsibility. That belief powers our large-scale Community Cleanliness Drives, turning waste-filled corners into spaces people can be proud of.

A Ripple Effect of Responsibility When people see volunteers cleaning their streets, it creates a ripple effect. Residents become more conscious of where they throw their waste. Children remind parents not to litter. Shopkeepers start keeping bins outside their stores.

Impact in Numbers

Through our cleanliness drives, we’ve collected 21,267+ kg of waste from streets, riverbanks, and public areas. That’s not just a cleaner environment — it’s fewer clogged drains, less plastic in our rivers, and reduced risk of waterborne diseases.

Hands-On Cleaning

Volunteers sweep streets, clear drains, and collect waste from public areas.

Awareness Campaigns

Interactive sessions in schools and neighborhoods on waste management and the dangers of littering.

Segregation at Source

We guide households and shopkeepers on separating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.

Collaboration with Local Bodies

Partnering with municipal staff to ensure proper waste disposal after collection.

Cleaning up is not just about removing what’s dirty — it’s about making space for what’s good. With every drive, we’re not just clearing waste, we’re clearing the way for healthier, more respectful communities. Together, we can keep Jammu & Kashmir shining.
